In an advanced interactive design course taken Winter 2018, students made websites addressing the prompt "design for diversity." In Spring of 2018, our professor submitted our work to MakerFaire Bay Area, in hopes of securing a booth for UC Davis' design department. A number of the final websites from the class, and a handful of independent student projects, were presented on a 1920 x 1080 touchscreen.
After the proposal was accepted, and I spent several weeks designing, coding, and testing the interface that would guide visitors through the student work being displayed, while classmate Tara Parker-Essig set up the touchscreen itself and added “return to interface” buttons to the student work. Meant to be viewed at 1920x1080, the interface can be seen and explored here.
